Wonderware Scada training in Pakistan
Wonder ware was an industrial software brand now owned by Aveda
and renamed AVEVA. wonder ware was part of Invensys plc and Invensys plc was
purchased by Schneider Electric in January 2014. Invensys plc. Formed in 1999
by the merger of BTR plc and Siebel plc and wonder ware was bought by Siebel
plc in 1998.
Wonder
ware software
Now under the name AVEVA, wonder ware software is used in a
variety of industries including: Automotive Assembly, Facility Management, Food
& Beverage, CPG, Mining & Metals, Energy, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Energy,
Water and Wastewater. Over the decades, wonder ware has built a network of
distribution partners, including a group of individually owned partners that do
business under the wonder ware name.
Wonder
ware partners
This network, including named wonder ware partners, now
sells and supports AVEVA products. The wonder ware brand and name now exists
only as a distribution name for AVEVA. Wonder ware was co-founded by Dennis
Morin and Phil Huber. Both were former employees of another local startup based
in Irvine, California.
British company
Wonder ware was sold to the British company SIEBE in 1998
for nearly $400 million. By then, all the founding members had left the
company. Co-founder Phil Huber remains active in startups. Morin died on the
last day of 2012. Wonder ware became part of Paris-based Schneider-Electric in
2014. Wonder ware was founded as a partnership in 1987 and incorporated in
California in 1988 as wonder ware Software Development Corporation.
Automating
manufacturing processes
The company re-incorporated in Delaware in 1993. At the time, there were other software companies producing programs for automating manufacturing processes, but wonder where was the first to introduce a program designed for use with the Microsoft Windows operating system. Operator interfaces that allow monitoring and issuing process commands, such as controller set point changes, are handled through the SCADA computer system.
Controller
calculations
Subordinate operations, such as control logic or real-time
controller calculations, are performed by interconnected modules connected to
field sensors and actuators. The SCADA concept was developed as a universal
means of remote access to a number of local control modules, which can be from
different manufacturers and allow access through standard automation protocols.
SCADA
systems
In practice, large SCADA systems have been very similar in
function to distributed control systems that use different methods of
interfacing with operations. They can manage large-scale processes that can
span multiple locations and work over long and short distances. It is one of
the most commonly used types of industrial control systems, despite concerns
that SCADA systems are vulnerable to cyber warfare/cyber terrorism attacks.
SCADA
data
Level 2 contains SCADA data and equipment status messages
that are forwarded to the Level 2 SCADA as needed. The data is then compiled
and formatted in such a way that a human machine interface (HMI) control room
operator can make supervisory decisions to modify or override normal control
RTU (PLC).
Specific
instrumentation
Data can also be fed to a historian, often built on top of a commodity database management system, allowing for trend tracking and other analytical audits. Lyskills provides online Wonderware Scada training in Pakistan. SCADA systems typically use a tag database that contains data elements called tags or points that relate to specific instrumentation or actuators within the process system. Data is collected according to these unique process control device tag references.
