Best PLC Boot Camp training courses in Pakistan

PLC boot camp

PLC Programming Boot camp Earlier machines were controlled by mechanical means using cams, gears, levers and other basic mechanical devices. Lyskills provides PLC boot camp training courses in Pakistan. As complexity grew, the need for a more sophisticated control system grew. This sophisticated control system included hard-wired controls for relays and switches.

Control logic

These elements were interconnected to provide the control logic required for a particular type of machine operation. It was fine for a machine that never had to be changed or modified. However, new manufacturing techniques have made hard-wired relays and switching logic cumbersome and time-consuming.

Controlling circuits

Then a new way of controlling circuits was developed thanks to the programmable logic controller, or PLC. The PLC provided an easy way to reprogram the wiring instead of actually rewiring the control system. This course provides a comprehensive guide to the basics of PLC programming. Want to get into Controls Engineering.

PLC programming

Maybe you already work in control or automation and want to improve your skills. In this article, we'll explore some popular (and affordable) online courses for learning PLC programming. If you go directly to the manufacturer (Rockwell Automation or Siemens), these courses can cost thousands of dollars. Here are some high-quality alternative online courses to help you learn PLC programming.

Automation boot camp

First up is the industrial automation boot camp. If you are completely new to industrial automation and PLC, then this course will give you a good holistic overview. This course does not delve into the world of a specific PLC brand, so if you want to become an Allen-Bradley or Siemens wizard, this is not the course. I recommend checking out some of the other courses on this list.

PLC Ladder Logic

Another awesome PLC programming course is Learning PLC Ladder Logic on LinkedIn Learning. This course is designed to demystify Ladder Logic programming. So if Ladder Logic is confusing you, then I can't recommend this course enough. Take this course online through LinkedIn Learning. Plus, when you're done, you can showcase your new skills on your LinkedIn profile.

PLC efforts

It's quite convenient, especially if you want to get promoted or change career paths. As I mentioned before, most factories have already determined what brand of PLC they will use. Some factories have a mix of brands, but many of the new Factory 4.0 and PLC efforts focus on technology standardization. The Siemens S7-1200 PLC & HMI course.

PLC and HMI course

If your factory uses a Siemens PLC, I STRONGLY recommend taking this Siemens S7-1200 PLC and HMI course. Coming from an Allen-Bradley programming base, I was able to complete this course and learn how to configure the S7-1200 PLC and KTP 400 HMI within a few weeks. I have taken both Rockwell's $5000 personal lessons and Demy’s $40 lessons.

Practice PLC programming

Both are great, but having access to an online course makes it very easy to reference concepts on the fly. If you want the best bang for your buck, take this online course. As with any new skill, the best way to get better at PLC programming is to practice PLC boot camp programming. I highly recommend getting a PLC and hooking up some simple I/O. The Micro820 is an affordable PLC ($450) and the CCW software is free.

Siemens products

I don't recommend going with an off-brand PLC unless it's the only option. Most big companies use Rockwell Automation or Siemens products, so if you can learn one (or both) then you're more likely to get the job. Take this course online through LinkedIn Learning. Plus, when you're done, you can showcase your new skills on your LinkedIn profile
